Neither god nor master

It occurs to me that we are all complicit. Scraps from the master’s table keep us in line.
Billionaires exist while children go hungry – but hey, trickle-down economics. Meanwhile, churches evade the tax collector only to spend their fortunes on proselytizing rather than the poor.
The average CEO-to-worker pay ratio for major U.S. companies is approximately 285:1. Does the executive class truly bring 285 times more value than the laborer?
We shouldn’t be okay with the state of things. We are frogs in the boiling pot – voting to turn up the heat, then thanking them for the warmth.
